8/05 Chapter Bike Show at Just Sue's- Dan Jones, Tim Hathaway & Ray Rushing were the 3 judges- The winners are as follows:

6/18/05 Members attended the State Party in Altimont-Those attending were Bill Conway, Cindy Lannom, Larry & Lynn Pelker, Dawn & Ed Shevlin and Tim & Sara Hathaway.

6/11/05 Backroads Chapter 32 held a bike show at Hawg Mama's in Willisville, Il.  

Tim Hathaway, Dawn Shevlin & Dan Jones supervise the event. Many bikes turned out for the event. Dale Jones receives his Best of Show trophy from President Ed Shevlin.  Dale also won 1st place in the stock class.

6/4/05  President Ed Shevlin presented the Coulterville Police Department with stuffed animals collected by Chapter members during our stuffed toy drive. The stuffed animals will be used by the Police Department to console children during emergencies such as automobile accidents and fires.  Following the presentation, Chapter members participated in the Coulterville Parade.

Marble Party, State Seminar, Run For The Wall Ride 5/24/05

Keith Melliere wins 1st place at the Marble Run Party held in Trenton in October 2004. Money presented by Legs. Lynlea & Larry Pelker and Ed & Dawn Shevlin attend the State Seminar in Springfield held in January 2005. A large number of bikes turned out for The Run For The Wall Ride held May 24, 2005.  Chapter members Larry Pelker, Cathy Borcherding, Ron, and Dawn & Ed Shevlin were in Mt. Vernon to lend a hand with the Run For The Wall Ride. Dawn & Ed helped with water and Larry pumped gas for the veterans.

9/11/04  On September 11th, the Backroads Chapter and the St. Clair Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois put on a motorcycle rodeo at Pop-A-Top in Ellis Grove.  There were events for motorcycles and ATV's.  There was a people's choice bike show and vendors were set up with various items.  Rock'n Ron provided the play by play action.  Free Fall band performed.  Congressman Jerry Costello stopped by to visit with all the bikers.  Everyone had a great time.  Backroads Chapter 32 would like to thank everyone that came out.

8/15/04  The Backroads Chapter 32 Bike Show held at Just Sue's in Evansville on Sunday was a great success.  Entries were up from 18 bikes last year to 26 bikes this year.  Trophies were awarded for first and second place in several classes, with a Best of Show trophy presented to the people's choice winner.  Thank you to our judges, Ron Picou, Rhett Rinne & Lumpy Lannom, and thank you to everyone that entered a bike, and to everyone that came out for the show.

6/26/04 The Backroads and St. Clair Chapters of A.B.A.T.E. joined to sponsor a poker run.  Sign up for the Backroads chapter was held at Harley's Place in Willisville and the ride concluded at the Oasis in Lentzburg.  Secretary Dawn Shevlin signed up riders while Products Officer Arlene Hackworth offered A.B.A.T.E. items for sale.  Many riders turned out to attend and the event was very successful.

6/27/04  A memorial get together was held in honor of Randy Menke at the Icy Mug in Walsh.  At the memorial, Randy's fiancé, Robin Haynes, was presented with a sympathy card signed by Randy's fellow A.B.A.T.E. members and the couple's many friends.  The presentation was made on behalf of Backroads Chapter 32 by Roy Hackworth.  Robin was also presented with a flag, donated by McDaniel Funeral Home of Sparta.  Music was provided by Ron Picou.  Many folks stopped by to offer Robin their support and to honor Randy's memory.
