Message From Your Chapter President

Hello Freeport ABATE

As the weather starts to turn colder, it's time to focus again on our mission. To preserve the unrestricted freedoms of all motorcyclists. I hope you will all join us at the State Seminar in January. The seminar is a great tool to coordinate and network with chapters from all over the state. There will also be guest speakers and sessions held to help us all get our message out. It's also a big fundraiser for our FEDPAC and ABATEPAC. Freeport chapter will be there in force as always.

At our November 19 meeting at Logan's, we will be holding our second round of chapter officers nominations. Please consider a position if you feel you can contribute a little time to the cause. There is no position that can't be done with a little help. We are here to help anyone who wants to hold a position. Elections for officers will be at our December 17 meeting at Logan's.

Come join s for our Christmas Party. It will be held on December 9 at the Freeport Moose Lodge. Freeport will provide the main dish, all you need is a dish to pass and a small $5 donation. It will be a great time as we will be doing a Canfield drawing, white elephant gifts for those who would like to participate, bake sale, silent auction, ugly sweater contest, and we have hired a DJ for entertainment. Hope to see you there.

Our family would like to wish you the happiest of Holidays. Spend as much time with family and friends as you can. Life can change at any second.

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year

Scott Gerke

Our monthly meetings are the 3rd Sunday of every month with the exception of July. During the fall through spring months, we meet at Logan's Bar & Grill in Freeport Illinois. June through September we meet at the Pecatonica Wetlands about a mile north and west of Pecatonica Illinois. Meetings start at 12:30 sharp and we try to not let them go longer than two hours. We cover a lot of information at our meetings and encourage you to join us. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend our August family picnic meeting. Children are most welcome and we have special activities to keep them occupied during the meeting. Safety, Education and Legislation are all key initiatives of ABATE. We encourage all members and non-members alike to ride safely. Please read our mission statement.
