ABATE Opposes this Bill

Please call your Representatives and ask them to vote "N0" on HB2316 it will

be called in the house by Friday, March 3, 2005

On Wednesday March 1, 2006 ABATE of Illinois made a statement. Any sweeping

of funds by the Governor is opposed by ABATE of Illinois.

HB2316 was introduced by Jay Hoffman. It's intent is to release the 8%

administrative sweep on all funds the governor did last year. The State

Treasurer has refused to sign those checks. This bill would force her.

In committee the sponsor said this is a one-time deal. In our testimony

before the committee ABATE of Illinois stated that this is the third or

fourth one time deal.
