Our General Election is November 3, 2026.

This year’s General Election is November 3, 2026. We are listing by Senate races, Democratic and Republican Parties.  Followed by the Representative races listed Democratic, Republican and Independent Parties.

The voter’s guide has a new look this year.   In an effort to keep it simple and easier to understand, we’ve eliminated the bold and lower-case letters.

The Guide is presented with the Senate races first, then the House followed by the  Executive Offices and any special local office endorsements will be listed last.

Candidate grades are listed by the numerical office with the current office holder (or incumbent) listed first in bold.   The candidates will be listed by their party with the democrats listed first. 

Candidates are graded on a scale of A+ to F-.  Grades are awarded to General Assembly members based on how they performed with ABATE of Illinois issues.   All candidates were sent a survey and those graded in perfect agreement with ABATE of Illinois Legislative issues, will receive the grade of “C+.” Higher grades are held for candidates whose actions put them beyond survey responses.  If a candidate is listed as “NR” this means they were “not rated.”  Other words, no survey response and no knowledge or past history with ABATE of Illinois.   All candidates endorsed by ABATE of Illinois are recognized by a “y” in the endorsed column.
