It is imperative that drivers understand the proper and safest way to share the road with motorcycle riders.  Recognizing the need, ABATE of Illinois, Inc. created a Motorcycle Safety Awareness Program to educate the young riders on motorcycle safety to help prevent motorcycle crashes and fatalities.

The program’s goal is to educate participants on how to safely share the road with motorcyclists. ABATE and the local ABATE chapters offer the Motorcycle Safety Awareness Program to any organization or school free of charge. It is taught in local Drivers Education Programs in hopes of reducing motorcycle fatalities and crashes through education.

ABATE’s commitment is strong, as we continue to improve the program and expand our reach.

From the shores of the Great Lakes to the Great Shawnee National Park, trained members of local ABATE chapters present educational material and provide the valuable insight necessary to make the roads safer for everyone. We are united in our efforts to teach everyone to
